Old Albanians Junior Saints U18s have made history by becoming the first girls team from both the club and county to reach the final of the RFU National Cup.
Facing a long journey up to the north east of England and strong opposition in their semi-final from Houghton RFC, they seized victory with a converted try in the last two minutes, bringing the score to 36-31 despite having never taken the lead until that point in the game.
The final will be played at Sixways Stadium in Worcester on Sunday May 3 against the Dings Crusaders from Bristol, wrapping up a competition which started with 64 teams competing.
In addition to their cup triumph, the girls have also just been crowned Herts League winners for the third consecutive year with another undefeated season.
