Youth football club is seeking sponsorship from businesses

London Colney YFC

A grassroots youth football club is on the hunt for sponsorship from local businesses.

London Colney YFC has 16 teams across all age groups from U7s to U18s, who compete in both the Watford Friendly League and the Herts County Cup. It is both FA and Herts FA accredited.

The club, which is run entirely by helpers and volunteers, is looking for businesses to sponsor kit, training tracksuits, rain jackets, training balls, bags and water bottles.

Russell Pidgeon, who is in charge of sponsorship, explained: “Grassroots football clubs such as London Colney Youth Football Club (LCYFC) serve as the lifeblood of the sport.

“We thrive within St Albans’ local communities, provide an essential platform for aspiring players to develop their skills, foster team spirit, and promote a love for the game. However, sustaining and nurturing this can be a challenge. This is where sponsorship plays a pivotal role, providing much needed support and creating a mutually beneficial partnership between LCYFC and sponsoring companies.

“By associating their brand with a grassroots football club, companies can reach a passionate and engaged audience who actively support their local team.”
