One day earlier than expected, the Museum of the Moon installation has risen above the pews of St Albans Cathedral.
Measuring seven metres in diameter, the Moon features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface.
The installation by artist Luke Jerram is a fusion of lunar imagery, moonlight and surround sound composition and is suspended in the Nave of the Cathedral, its huge size dominating the space.
It was due to be officially launched tomorrow, but visitors to the Abbey were treated to an early peek today.
You can see the Museum of the Moon until Saturday February 15, and possibly join one of the many events and activities that will be taking place in the moonlight, including yoga sessions, talks, concerts, and more.
