The headteacher of The Marlborough Science Academy in St Albans has praised students for their success in this year’s A levels.
Annie Thomson said: “Marlborough rings with a cacophony of sounds, from tears of joy to whoops of excitement as our students celebrate their results.
“Once again our young people have done themselves proud and achieved some exceptional results. Annabel Blackford, 3 A’s and an A*, off to Oxford, as well as a whole raft of students off to take degrees, travel, work or study apprenticeships.
“In a world that can sometimes seem tough for young people, seeing wide smiles, tears of relief and happy parents, make it all seem worthwhile.
“Special thanks must go to fabulous teaching staff and of course parents who do so much hard work behind the scenes.”
