Your new favourite indulgence has arrived. Family-run Waffle Wands is bringing its sweet goodness to The Maltings Shopping Centre, with a mouth-watering array of freshly-cooked waffles coated in assorted sauces and toppings.
Co-owner and mum of three girls Sophie Stafford [she runs the family business with her brother Louie] tested the waters for her new venture at St Albans Christmas Market, the Food and Drink Festival, and more recently the Foodies Festival at Oaklands College.
The St Albans Times popped along purely to say ‘hello’, but was soon treated to a waffle on a stick drenched in white chocolate. freeze-dried raspberry sprinkles and some extra strawberry sauce.
As well as the wands, they also offer little waffle baskets which can be filled with fruit and ice cream, and have plans for more waffley wonders over the coming months, including extra-sized Stroopwafels, those caramel-filled thin waffles which hail from Holland.
