TEDx St Albans is back for its third year, and this time, it’s bigger than ever.
Taking place at the Alban Arena on Wednesday October 15, the event will feature a line-up of speakers talking on the theme of ‘Change and Continuity’.
Among those appearing are Andy McAleese, who shares how journalling helped him survive job loss and emergency heart surgery; Fredah Kamau, a frontline mental health nurse exploring how we support those who care for us; and William Castle, who breaks the silence on suicide stigma.
Technology takes centre stage with Katharine Wooller demystifying blockchain and Erica Stanford uncovering the industrial scale of online scams. Meanwhile, Tigz Rice reclaims body confidence through empowering photography, and Joanna Montgomery asks why we’re so obsessed with hacking love.
Other speakers delve into themes ranging from privilege and friendship to the DEI backlash, media literacy, and using rest as a tool to rewire your nervous system for success.
