St Albans Girls’ School saw their cohort securing an impressive 210 Grade 9s in this year’s GCSEs.
Headteacher Paul Kershaw said: “These results are a true reflection of the dedication, resilience and ambition students have shown and they should feel so proud of what they have achieved.
“I also want to recognise the incredible commitment of STAGS staff who inspire and support our young people every day as well as families whose encouragement has been invaluable. This remarkable cohort has an exciting future ahead and we cannot wait to see the impact they will go on to make in the world!”
He added that of the many success stories, special recognition must go to Tara, Cara, Sophie, Coralia, Gladys, Lucile, Enaayah, Eadie and Molly, who are some of the students who achieved Grade 9s and 8s across the board.
Year 11 student Freya said: “We are really proud of what we’ve achieved and so thankful for all the support our teachers have given us at STAGS.”
The Post 16 pathways chosen by this year’s students are varied. While many are enthused for A level study at STAGS, others are embarking on exciting new ventures from travel and tourism to digital content production, mechanics, animal care, catering and childcare.
