Italian-founded bespoke womenswear Atelier Ferrari + Monti is to take a short summer pause for a very special reason before reopening in September.
After more than a decade designing bespoke womenswear from their George Street store, husband-and-wife designer duo Annalisa Monti and Cristopher Ferrari are preparing for an exciting new chapter: the arrival of their first child.
The founders of Atelier Ferrari + Monti, known locally for their bespoke occasionwear, bridal designs, mother-of-the-bride outfits and ready-to-wear collections, are expecting their baby in July and will temporarily close the atelier workshop throughout July and August to focus on their growing family.
“It feels like a very special moment for us, both personally and professionally,” says Annalisa.
“The atelier has been part of our lives for many years, and now we’re looking forward to welcoming a new little member into the family.”
Before taking their summer break, the designers will continue completing and delivering all existing bespoke commissions throughout June, ensuring clients receive their garments in time for weddings, celebrations and special occasions planned for the summer months.
The atelier will officially reopen in September, with bespoke consultations and fitting appointments resuming for autumn and winter weddings, events and occasionwear.
Clients interested in commissioning a bespoke garment are encouraged to get in touch during the summer months. While appointments will not take place until September, enquiries will continue to be monitored, and consultation slots can be secured in advance.
“We expect September to be a particularly busy period,” says Cristopher. “We’re already receiving enquiries for autumn weddings and events, so we’d encourage anyone considering
bespoke to contact us sooner rather than later.”
Founded in 2013, Atelier Ferrari + Monti combines Italian design heritage with British craftsmanship, creating bespoke womenswear and small-batch ready-to-wear collections from its George Street studio in St Albans.
Enquiries can continue to be submitted via the atelier’s website throughout the summer period.
