The newly refurbished spa at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre will be reopening on Wednesday April 8 following a £400,000 transformation.
The Verulamium Spa, which is managed by Everyone Active on behalf of SADC, will feature a fully refitted sauna and steam room, upgraded hydrospa, enhanced monsoon showers, and new tiling and lighting throughout. New features such as an ice cave with cold plunge baths, a salt room and infrared seating have also been introduced, alongside upgraded heated loungers.
The spa’s changing rooms have been completely refurbished with new lockers, showers and vanity areas, while all five treatment rooms have also been refreshed. A new cosmetic brand and expanded treatment menu will be available when the spa reopens.
Steve Cox, area contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “We know how popular the spa is with local residents, so it’s fantastic to be reopening the doors in April following this major investment. The improvements we’ve made will deliver a significantly enhanced experience, and we’re confident the new facilities will exceed expectations for both existing users and those visiting for the first time.”
The spa upgrade forms part of a wider programme of investment at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre over the past year, including refurbishments to gym changing rooms, poolside showers and other facilities.
