For the month of January, St Albans BID is highlighting health and wellbeing services in the city centre, including a free event to inspire residents, visitors and those that work in the area to get active and healthy.

The New Year is a time when people start to focus on selfcare and think about adopting a healthier lifestyle. To help those wanting to improve their fitness, take care of their body and their mental wellbeing, the BID will be creating awareness of what’s available in the area.

On Wednesday January 31 the BID is hosting its first ever Health & Wellbeing Event at Dagnall Street Baptist Church. This free event will feature several business and organisations providing advice, demonstrations, and information on their services as well as exclusive offers.

The event will feature Fitness First, Transformation Pilates, WellBeing Chinese Health Centre, Specsavers, Neal’s Yard Remedies, Visage Dental, RW Osteopath, Ranjit Jotangia – Pranic Healing Therapist, Ginger Natural Health, My Acupuncturist and more.

BID manager Vivien Cannon said: “We are proud to be working with BID members on this new campaign to showcase and support our businesses, as well as highlighting the importance of physical and mental wellbeing. We have a fantastic range of health and wellness services in the area which we encourage the public to discover.”

The BID team will also be sharing inspiration and ideas on their social media channels @enjoystalbans and @shopstalbans as well as arranging interviews with local businesses who will be sharing their expert tips on Mix 92.6FM.
