An 18-year-old man was arrested for a string of offences after failing to stop for police.
A black Talaria Power Max motorcycle was initially spotted by officers riding along Harpenden Road in St Albans at around 3.16am.
When it failed to stop, they gave pursuit but eventually lost sight of it. Another unit later located the vehicle in a stationary position and prevented it from making off with the use of a tactical stop on Waverley Road, St Albans.
The rider was arrested at the scene on suspicion of failing to stop for police, driving under the influence of alcohol, theft of a motor vehicle, driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance to a licence.
He remains in police custody at this time.
