Pioneer Presents! proves a spectacular success for club

Pioneer Presents!

Friday night saw the Pioneer Club open its doors for Pioneer Presents! – a new event celebrating all that is great about the music hub.

Pioneer CEO Danny Clare said: “As a DIY event, we had an open mic, DJs and garden games all lead by trustees and volunteers, with a number of guest performers taking the stage. We also had Ant Steel on site, adding to our front mural of iconic artists that have played The Pioneer, Light of the World now in place!

“The Pioneer Club is all about self expression, creativity and experience. It was great to see so many faces coming along and getting involved. We look forward to the next one and will look to open earlier and add a Youth Open Mic, as we often hear, there are very few opportunities and places for young people to play. Where better than on stage at The Pioneer!

“We’ll be running similar events throughout the year, next up is our Glastonbury Open Day on Sunday June 30 with two stages up on big screens and on the sound system, DJs, food trucks, ice cream, garden games, face painting, kids activities and more. Hopefully the weather will be kind and we can create a great festival vibe for all ages.”
