The Oaklands Wolves sports academy has unveiled a new dynamic identity, which it says embodies the spirit of its community.
At the same time, it has announced a major partnership with KitKing, Nike’s teamwear partner for Great Britain and Ireland, which will see the Wolves wearing Nike kits.
Deputy principal Claire Dolan said: “I am feeling incredibly proud of the Oaklands Wolves as we announce this partnership with Kitking and Nike. These are companies at the very top of the professional sporting world and this partnership demonstrates how far the Oaklands Wolves academy has come.
“With more than 600 student athletes, nearly 1,000 youth players and several professional squads and having produced hundreds of elite athletes, many of whom have represented their countries and Team GB at the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, the Wolfpack is one of the biggest and most successful sporting set-ups based in a college in the country.
“It is fitting that at the same time as announcing this partnership we are launching a new Wolves brand, which signifies a stronger, sharper, more united attitude and resolve. I am excited for the future of the Wolves academy.”
Head of Wolves Academies Thomas Baker said: “We’re delighted to announce this partnership and the fact that Oaklands Wolves is joining forces with KitKing and Nike. Kitking give excellent service and will help deliver our professional club shop, and, having Nike – the world’s number one sports brand – as our kit and leisurewear sponsor will elevate our teams in mind and spirit.
“We are proud of where we came from and the legacy that’s been built but it is time for the Wolves to take its place at the top of the table of college sports academies, and this starts with a dynamic new identity which reflects our hunger for success, and the partnership with Kitking and Nike, which demonstrates the professionalism of Oaklands Wolves.”
Dips Patel, KitKing CEO, added: “The sporting vision for the college is hugely ambitious. We are excited to partner and support the college through this journey of being one of the best sporting colleges in the UK.”
Oaklands will be holding its first Wolfpack Day since signing the agreement with KitKing on February 17, with coaches assessing new talent for the 2025 squad. The day gives aspiring young athletes a chance to trial for one of the academies, to ask questions and experience the academy environment.
