GCSE results day was a celebration of five years of hard work, dedication, and the relentless pursuit of excellence by students, staff, and the entire community at Nicholas Breakspear School.
Olivia O’Keefe, who achieved eight 9s and three 8s, said: “I’m overjoyed with my results, and I’m deeply grateful to the teachers and parents who helped me achieve these grades. I’m now excited about joining the sixth form, where I will be studying maths, English literature and chemistry at A-level.”
A humble Joash Benjamin, who achieved nine 9s, one 8, and one 7 and will be continuing his studies at NBS Sixth Form: “I would like to thank all my teachers, parents and God who have supported me on my journey. Hard work has certainly paid off! These grades have enabled me to continue my education at Nicholas Breakspear Sixth Form, where I will be studying maths, further maths and economics, and hopefully, I’ll be off to university in a couple of years.”
Other high flyers included an emotional Katelyn Kirtley-Rice was delighted when she received her impressive results of seven 9s, three 8s, and one 7.
She said: “I am so happy, and I truly feel that this school cares for each and every one of us, which has enabled me to achieve my full potential.”
A delighted Aaryan Lad, upon receiving his brown envelope with eight 9s, two 8s, and one 7, said: “I would like to thank all my teachers for believing in me and giving me the confidence to succeed. I look forward to joining the NBS Sixth Form to continue my studies.”
Headteacher Declan Linnane added: “We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2024, who have risen to the challenge and exceeded expectations.
“Their results reflect not only their academic abilities but also their resilience, commitment, and determination to achieve their very best.
“Their success is a reflection of the comprehensive education and pastoral care provided at NBS, where we prioritise not only academic excellence but also the personal growth and well-being of each student.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our students and their families. We also express our deep gratitude to our dedicated staff, whose unwavering support and guidance have been instrumental in helping our students achieve such outstanding results.”
