Homeware retailer Lakeland is opening a new store at The Maltings Shopping Centre this October.
The store will officially open its doors at 9.30am on Friday October 2, creating six new jobs in the local area and bringing Lakeland’s range of innovative kitchenware and household products to the district.
Head of retail Nick Bell said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming customers through the doors of our new St Albans store on October 2. It’s fantastic to see the store taking shape and we can’t wait to share the finished space with customers on opening day.
“The new store introduces a fresh retail concept for Lakeland, with modern fittings and fixtures designed to showcase our extensive range and make it even easier for customers to discover the high-quality, innovative products we’re known for.
“The Maltings offers the perfect spot for Lakeland and we believe its current customers will see it as a welcome addition to the centre. The team are working incredibly hard to ensure everything is ready for launch day and we’re excited to further embed ourselves into the local community and help make our customers everyday life a little bit easier.”
Maltings centre manager Richard Marrett added: “We’re delighted to welcome Lakeland to The Maltings. It’s a much-loved brand with a fantastic reputation, and we know it will be a really popular addition for shoppers in St Albans. We’re very excited to see the new store take shape and to welcome the Lakeland team to the centre.”
