The latest Netwalks – free events encouraging people from all walks of life to go for a walk together – proved the biggest yet, with 32 walkers and three Netdogs enjoying a gentle stroll round Clarence Park and raising £135 for mental health charity YouthTalk.
Coffee was sponsored by EYES on St Albans, and cake and hospitality generously provided by Verdis.
All Netwalks are free and open to everyone from any size business, organisation or charity in a bid to reduce isolation, get people outside for a bit of fresh air, encourage conversation and provide a networking alternative to those who don’t enjoy the experience inside!
Organiser Jenny Smith said: “Over the last nine months we’ve shown people new areas of our lovely city, forged connections and friendships and enjoyed coffee and cake together at independent coffee shops across the city.”
