Hundreds of runners headed down to Herts County Showground for the 19th annual Herts 10K, once again in aid of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.
A total of 660 people signed up to run on Sunday morning, raising an incredible £45,000 between them – with sponsorship still coming in.
This year’s event saw runners choose from a range of distance options including the traditional 10K plus a 5K and 1.5K family fun run. A warm-up led by Jo Handcock from Everyone Active gave everybody the chance to get race ready before the 10K runners left at 10am with the first finisher crossing the line just 37 minutes later.

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care events manager Emma Stewart said: “It was an exciting year for the Herts 10K with a new venue and new distance options for runners to choose from. We were delighted to see regular runners returning to the event and new runners embracing the additional 5K and fun run options.
“I’d like to thank everybody who took part in this year’s event. So far we’ve raised £45,000 thanks to ticket sales and sponsorship. I’d also like to thank our event sponsors: Sherrards Solicitors, PB Donoghue and Bottrills Solicitors for supporting this year’s event and helping to make it such a huge success. Every penny raised will be used to provide vital hospice care services for local people living with a life-limiting illness.”
