Students at Marlborough are celebrating today after achieving richly deserved GCSE results.
Most students will now continue their education in the sixth form at Marlborough, while others are excited to begin new pathways at other local sixth forms or colleges, having successfully secured places on a wide range of courses, new courses such as classics bore outstanding results, and that’s without seeing the film!
Headteacher Annie Thomson praised the students’ success and said: “This has been another great year for our students. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and of the way they have supported one another. They have also embraced every academic and extra-curricular opportunities offered and reflect what endeavour, hard work and courage can help you to achieve.”
She added that the school will have its biggest-ever sixth form as a consequence of these results and are welcoming more external students than ever before and hopes they will continue to thrive as they enter their next chapter of life’s journey.
