St Albans School is celebrating another strong set of GCSE results, with Year 11 students achieving excellent grades across a wide range of subjects. Students arrived this morning to collect their results and celebrate the culmination of years of hard work, commitment and determination.
The school is pleased to announce that 59% of all GCSE entries achieved the highest grades of 9-8, while 81% of all entries were awarded grades 9-7, reflecting the sustained hard work and academic ambition of this year’s cohort. 27% of the cohort achieved nine or more grades at 9-8.
Among the strongest-performing subjects was biology in which 82% of students achieved grades 9-8. Other notable subject performances included Latin (79% at 9-8) and maths (69% at 9-8).

“GCSE Results Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our students and the immense effort they have put into their studies. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and, just as importantly, of the resilience, curiosity and determination they have demonstrated along the way.
“Every student will have their own story behind today’s results, and we hope they take great pride in their achievements. These grades provide an excellent foundation for the next stage of their education, whether that is continuing into our Sixth Form or pursuing other opportunities.
