Students at Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School are celebrating another set of fantastic results
maintaining their outstanding track record of academic success. Their hard work, resilience and
determination has paid off with a set of results that are above national and Hertfordshire averages
on all measures.
The vast majority of students will be staying on to complete A-Level and CTEC
courses in the very successful Nicholas Breakspear 6th form. Core subject performance remained
exceptionally strong, with 90% of students achieving a pass in English and also in Maths.
Head of School Anne Atkinson said: “I am incredibly proud of each and every Year 11 student, it has
been wonderful to celebrate their achievements and to recognise how far they have come. We wish
all Year 11 students well with their next steps and we know they have very bright future ahead’
“We congratulate the students on all they have achieved and we would also like to thank our
exceptional staff for their hard work and dedication. I would also like to thank our endlessly
supportive parents and carers who are an essential part of their success. Once again, our inclusive
ethos and the strength of our diverse Catholic community has proved to be a winning formula.”
Nelly Ruzvidzo who achieved an impressive 8 grade 9’s said: “I’m glad my 2 years of hard work have
paid off and I’d like to thank all my teachers at Nicholas Breakspear for believing in me!”
Onyi Abana, who achieved 7 grade 9s said: “It was a great decision to come to NBS and I’m really
pleased with my results”.
Jakub Ostrowski, who achieved 4 9’s and 3 8’s said: “I’m really happy and my family is super- happy
as well!”
