The biggest event in the district’s business calendar made a triumphant return last week, with the annual St Albans Chamber of Commerce St George’s Day lunch. Held at Sopwell House Hotel, it saw representatives from companies large and small gather to network, catch-up and celebrate all that’s great about working in St Albans.
Former EastEnders star Shaun Williamson, aka Barry Evans, was this year’s special guest, and treated his audience to a mixture of jokes and songs.
The raffle and auction raised in the region of £10k for Open Door and St Albans & District Foodbank, and this year’s sponsors were: Debenhams Ottaway, SA Law, Gilberts, Phillips Funeral Directors, Visionary Accountants, Wagada Digital, Gymtro, My Mustard – An Assisted Agency, FRP Advisory, Conical, The Smart Trilogy and Metro Bank.
