St Albans got a little cleaner – and a lot more fun – thanks to a fantastic community effort led by local councillor Matt Fisher and some enthusiastic St Albans Beavers.
Cllr Fisher rolled up on the Greener Together-provided cargo E-bike, fully loaded with litter-picking hoops and bags, ready for action. Before the cleanup began, he gathered the young Beavers for a lively briefing, explaining why tackling litter matters and how small actions can make a big impact on the environment.
With high-vis jackets on and hoops in hand, the group hit the Alban Way, showing just how powerful teamwork can be. From sweet wrappers to stray bottles, nothing escaped their eagle eyes. The Beavers brought bundles of energy and smiles, turning a litter pick into an adventure.
Cllr Fisher said:“It was brilliant to see such enthusiasm from the Beavers – they really care about their community, and it showed!
“It was an evening filled with purpose, pride, and plenty of laughter – proving once again that when the community comes together, great things happen.”
