More than 250 people took part in an Easter Trail in Clarence Park on Good Friday.
The event, which was organised by St Paul’s Church in Fleetville, retold the Easter story of Christ’s death and resurrection, with church members playing roles in the narrative. Everyone who completed the Trail – receiving stamps at each ‘station’ – received an Easter egg.
Rev Martin Watson, of St Paul’s, who organised the event said: “It was fantastic to see so many people of all ages enjoying the Trail, listening to the characters tell their story and hearing the message of Easter.
“Christ’s death and resurrection is good news for all, and offers new life and a new beginning for everyone. It was so good that the sun shone, and the rain held off while we brought this timeless message of hope to Clarence Park.”
Among the visitors was the ‘Mouse Bishop of St Albans,’ a popular local social media Twitter/X account with more than 9,000 followers. He tweeted: “We had an amazing time! Thank you to so much to everyone at St Paul’s who made the terrific Easter Trail event happen. So many happy faces in the park, scurrying about getting their stamps.”
