There might be blue skies above and temperatures hitting the high-20s, but that didn’t stop a TV production crew from taking over a section of St Peter’s Street to film what is said to be a Christmas advert.
With extras clad in coats and jackets despite the sweltering heat, the area of the road outside Boots was cordoned off to allow filming to take place this afternoon.
This is not the first time that St Albans has been used for a festive short.
In 2024 Market Place was covered with artificial snow and festive props and The Boot pub was transformed into “The Gingerbread Arms” for a Tesco advert, then last year Market Place and St Peter’s Street were transformed into a snowy winter wonderland featuring the Big Friendly Giant for Sainsbury’s seasonal offering.
