St Albans Girls’ School has announced a range of exceptional A Level and BTEC accomplishments celebrated by students today.
Among a multitude of impressive achievements across the school, congratulations go to Anna, who has secured a place to read English literature at the University of Oxford, as well as Naomi and Olivia, who will be studying medicine and Jasmine, who is reading veterinary science.
Additionally, students including Jessica, Kimiya, Layla, Anna, Olivia, Annabel, Imogen and Laura demonstrated extraordinary academic progress throughout their time in the Sixth Form, earning richly deserved results that reflect two years of sustained effort and focus.
The vast majority of STAGS students successfully secured entry to their first choice destinations. Over the coming weeks, cohort members will be heading into exciting next steps including leading institutions across the UK, including Oxford, UCL, King’s College, Warwick, Leeds, Nottingham, Liverpool, Cardiff and Hertfordshire.
Reflecting their diverse talents and commitment to independent study, students are embarking on degree pathways spanning psychology, education, computer science, costume design, engineering, paramedic science while others have secured highly competitive Higher and Degree Apprenticeships such as with accountancy firm Alder Shine LLP.
Headteacher Paul Kershaw expressed his pride in the cohort, noting that the commitment and resilience they demonstrated throughout their seven years at STAGS have been an inspiration to the community.
He emphasised that today’s results reflect not only the drive and work ethic of the students themselves, but also the partnership of their families and the dedication of the STAGS staff.
