Students at Sandringham School enjoyed a morning of celebration as they gathered with friends and staff to mark their exceptional A level results.
Headteacher Alan Gray expressed pride in the cohort’s success, saying: “We are thrilled with this year’s outcomes — over 290 students achieved highly, with many securing truly exceptional results. The vast majority have gained places at their first-choice university or apprenticeship. It was wonderful to see them celebrating together and looking forward to the next stage of their journeys.”
The five Head Students led the way with a string of top grades. Hana will study law at Queen Mary University, Albi has secured an apprenticeship with Deutsche Bank, Elena will pursue history and theology at Birmingham, Sam is heading to Sheffield for mechanical engineering, and Becky will also be at Sheffield, beginning her studies in medicine.
Many students have accepted offers from prestigious Russell Group universities, with five securing coveted places at Cambridge and three at Oxford. At Cambridge, Nico and Will will study mathematics, Evan will take geography, Brendan will read philosophy and Hanna will read English. At Oxford, Madeleine will read English literature, Ethan will study biochemistry, and Seb will focus on economics.
Reflecting on the year group’s achievements, Alan Gray added: “It has been a privilege to support this wonderful cohort.
“We are delighted to see a growing interest in degree apprenticeships, and it is especially encouraging that more girls are pursuing STEM courses.
“Our partnership with Beaumont and Verulam Schools through the BeauSandVer post-16 consortium remains invaluable.
“I warmly congratulate our upper sixth on their well-deserved success and thank both students and staff for their dedication and hard work. Well done, everyone!”
