Samuel Ryder Academy celebrated their best-ever set of Sixth Form results, with students achieving exceptional outcomes and securing an impressive range of university and apprenticeship destinations across the country and beyond.
This year, SRA students achieved the highest number of A and A* grades, leading to destinations spanning the top Russell Group universities including the University of Sheffield, University of York, Lancaster University, University of Leeds, University of Liverpool, University of Nottingham, Loughborough University, and the University of
Manchester – as well as a prestigious scholarship to Vanderbilt University in the USA.
Many students successfully gained entry to their first-choice universities – an achievement that the school says stands as a testament to the dedication, aspiration, and resilience of SRA students, the commitment of their teachers, and the supportive learning environment they provide.
Individual successes include Aimee, who secured a highly competitive place to study medicine and surgery, and Lila, who achieved an outstanding set of results with three A grades.
Head of School, Kyle Barry said: “We are incredibly proud of this year’s cohort. Their resilience, aspiration, and academic ability have been exceptional – and these results show just how far our determined young people go when supported by our passionate and expert team.
“From a scholarship to Vanderbilt University, to securing places at world-class institutions, to embarking on prestigious degree apprenticeships – these achievements speak volumes about our students’ talent and ambition.
“Alongside our record-breaking A level outcomes, our BTEC students also achieved progress in the top 10 per cent nationally, further highlighting the breadth of success in our academic Sixth Form. We wish every student the very best as you take the next step in your journey and look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the years ahead.”
