Something fishy in Smallford

Steve Moroney runs Fish Bones at Smallford Farm Shop.

Smallford Farm Shop now boasts a fishmonger’s offering fresh produce from the south coast of England.

Run by Steve Moroney. Fish Bones is the only permanent fishmongers in the district, and offers a wide range of sustainably sourced fish and seafood including scallops, halibut, monk fish, prawns, lemon sole, crab and lobster.

Virginia Maniscalco and Emma Colletti, Smallford Farm Shop owners said: “We always had plans for a butcher and a fishmonger to add to our fresh food offering and it has been great to see The Marrow Bone Butcher really take off since he launched his business with us in May this year.

“Adding Fish Bones has been a natural progression for Steve and we are delighted to be able to offer our customers fresh fish from both the fish counter and in the café. The first weekend was a huge success and we hope the good people of St Albans continue to support us.”
