Sandridge School’s much-anticipated Summer Fair was a vibrant, joyful celebration that brought the school community and locals together.
The open air and friendly faces were the perfect set up for a day full of fun and laughter. Families and friends enjoyed catching up while tucking into delicious fish and chips and joining in on the many activities designed to keep all ages entertained. From bouncy castles to face painting, and live music that kept spirits high, there was something for everyone.
At the heart of the event was the highly anticipated Festival of Colours, inspired by the Holi tradition. This lively celebration saw people from all walks of life come together to throw brightly coloured powder into the air (and at each other) in a display of unity and joy.
The fair raised £3,000, with a donation going to Herts Young Homeless, a charity supporting vulnerable young people across Hertfordshire.
Community fundraising officer for Herts Young Homeless Nicola MacKinnon said: “We’re so grateful to Sandridge School for organising such a fantastic event and choosing to support us. It was wonderful to see so many families come together and enjoy some fun, while supporting of young people in need and we look forward to seeing this event grow in the coming years.”
