Roaming pig returned home

The wandering pig.

A pig wandering along a Redbourn road was returned to safety after Herts Police saved his bacon.
Police were called just before 9am on Sunday October 27 to reports of the loose pig at the side of the carriageway on St Albans Road.

They managed to track down the owner of the pig who collected it and returned it home within 45 minutes.

PC Sophie Healy of St Albans Intervention Team said: “We were called to reports of a pig on the loose and found the animal wandering by the road. Quick inquiries showed it came from a local farm, so we contacted the farmer, and they came to collect it. It looked like the pig enjoyed its outing and we were happy to see it get home safely.”

So all’s swill that ends swill.
