We ask a different figure from the local community to choose 10 questions to answer from a list of 50. This time: barber and hair stylist Sam Campagna.

Do you ever Google yourself?

Yes! There’s only two of me in the UK. One is a footballer and the other a hairdresser.

Are things getting better or worse?

I love this question, I always reference that my grandad was held POW for stealing potato skins because he was hungry. So I’d say better from my reference point.

Have you ever had a nickname?

Barbone was a name given to me by my friend during the first online craze of gaming. Now my barber’s is called Barbone cause it means big beard.

What are your preferred pizza toppings?

Well Mozzarella Fellas does some experimental toppings and they are all good. Most recent a pumpkin sauce pizza.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be part of a racing team, I wanted to drive.

What’s your favourite place to have breakfast in St Albans?

I got to say I don’t normally have breakfast, but on occasion I treat myself down at Hatch, George Street Canteen or Toast.

Where do you buy your coffee in St Albans?

I share my coffee stops across multiple places but when I’m in town working Kiosk or Gail’s.

What’s your favourite St Albans pub?

The Boot! But I have been in the new Saint and Sinner which is becoming a favourite.

How long would you survive a zombie apocalypse?

I worked with a guy who was obsessed with zombies, and was writing a book about them! I’d most likely go out of my way to find him as surely he knew a way to survive! LOL!

What was your first job?

Well I had two jobs at 14. One I was loading lorries at an industrial estate on Campfield Road, second job was working at my dad’s business – a fish and chip shop in Barnet.
