Let’s face it – Pringles are incredibly moreish! While reducing our consumption can be a challenge, repurposing is something we can all get behind.
That’s exactly what they’ve done at London Colney Parish Council in collaboration with Hatfield Community Free School.
Environment officer Matt Fisher explained: “We’ve collected over 60 Pringles tubes over the past few months, one for each student in a year group, to be repurposed into time capsules – a fun and meaningful way to give these containers a second life. It is expected that this initiative will now become a yearly tradition, and Hatfield Community Free School is the proud beneficiary.
“Currently, London Colney Parish Council collects Pringles tubes as part of the TerraCycle recycling scheme. Inspired by this, we’ve also begun collecting coffee tins with plastic lids as a more resilient and long-lasting alternative for time capsules.
