A huge fight broke out in The George pub in Harpenden High Street on Saturday night before spilling out into the road.
The incident kicked off just before midnight between two groups of men, and witnesses say as it escalated those involved were pushed out of the premises, where a video shows the ensuing brawl.
Police were called and those involved in the incident swiftly escaped. It is not thought any of the pub staff were injured.
The St Albans Times contacted The George about the incident but was told nobody at the pub would comment on what had happened.
Herts police are investigating, and have identified two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident (pictured).
A spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 11.50pm on Saturday 4 October to reports of a large disturbance outside The George pub on High Street in Harpenden.”
Inspector Paul Caro of the St Albans District added: “Although police responded immediately, the disturbance was over by arrival.
“It is clear from footage obtained that serious disorder took place and officers are carrying out further enquiries to try and identify those involved which are ongoing at this time.
“I am appealing to anyone who may recognise these two men to report information to police.
“I understand the local community may be concerned about a video that is circulating on social media, and I want to reassure them that we are carrying out enquiries to identify those involved.”
