Harpenden Highland Gathering returned to Rothamsted Park on Sunday with the usual array of Scottish-themed activities.

The event, which is organised by Harpenden Lions, included a marching pipe band, Highland dancing, Highland Games, arena displays, stage performances, children’s races, live music, archery, go-karting and haggis hurling.

Funds raised from this year’s Gathering will be going to Young Lives vs Cancer and the Harpenden Lions Club Life Skills programme.

Young Lives vs Cancer is a charity that helps children and young people and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. The Harpenden Lions Club Life Skills programme supports schools in Harpenden to help young people to develop skills for living and adult life.
