The weather couldn’t have been better for the 56th Harpenden Carnival on Saturday.
The event is a partnership between Harpenden’s Round Table and Harpenden Town Council and included the ever-popular Savills Dog Show, bouncy inflatables, craft activities and food and drinks stalls across the Common.
Music included the likes of Number 7, Sam Lewis and The Barn-ettes.
Harpenden Town Mayor Cllr Fiona Gaskell said: “The Harpenden Carnival is an exciting summer tradition and the town council is delighted to continue our partnership with Harpenden Round Table. It is always wonderful to see such vibrancy and community spirit on Harpenden Common. This event is a real highlight for residents and we’re proud to support some incredible charities.”
The Carnival raises around £10,000 per year for charities, with this year’s beneficiaries including Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust, PARC, Isabel Hospice and the Mayor’s charities.
