Local award-winning photographer Steve Collins has launched his new Harpenden Calendar for 2027 – featuring more of his lovely images of ‘Britain’s Most Desirable Town’.
The calendar features 12 stunning seasonal images from the town which topped a 2026 poll by the estate agency Savills, widely published in The Telegraph and other national media earlier this year.
Included are images of iconic Harpenden landmarks such as Rothamsted Manor, Harpenden Common, Rothamsted Park, Knott Wood, Harpenden’s Memorial Cross and The Harpenden Arms, as well as the much-loved Harpenden Farmers Market.
Steve, who is also Chair of Harpenden Photographic Society, said: “I’m delighted to bring out a new Harpenden calendar for 2027 and hope it helps to raise the profile of one of the UK’s most desirable places to live. It’s a gorgeous large A3 format wall calendar, printed on 250gsm silk paper to feel prestigious. Each individual image in the calendar is approximately A4 in size and looks great when displayed.
“Every year I aim to be make improvements to the calendar, and this year is no exception, with a refined layout that provides more space for each day.
“Additionally, I asked previous purchasers of the calendar, via a poll, to choose their favourite image, from a selection of six, for the front cover. The image that won the overall vote, is my most popular print of Harpenden – the beautiful landscape of the avenue of Lime Trees in Rothamsted Park.
“This image was my first award-winning image from the Guild of Photographers, and a core part of my LRPS panel with the Royal Photographic Society, so I’m especially delighted to see it being voted as the public’s choice for the front cover.
“This is without doubt, my best calendar to date, and I’m absolutely thrilled with how it has turned out.”
The Harpenden Calendar 2027 is available now, priced £17.99, from two local independent Harpenden retailers: Serena Hart and Threads of Harpenden, both on Harpenden High Street, or directly via Steve’s website .
