Liberal Democrat candidate for Harpenden and Berkhamsted Victoria Collins has been elected as the new constituency’s first MP.
The results were:
Victoria Collins (Liberal Democrats) 27,282
Paul De Hoest (Green Party) 1,951
Nigel Gardner (Conservative Party) 16,574
Zara Layne (Labour) 4,061
Mark Patten (Social Democratic Party) 223
Saba Poursaeedi (Reform UK) 4,245
The election turnout was 75.49%.
