St Albans Morris dancers holding annual day of dance in city

St Albans Morris are holding their annual day of dance on Saturday.

Members of St Albans Morris – together with representatives from seven other sides – can be seen out dancing through the city centre next Saturday, September 28.

Their annual day of dance marks the end of the current season, and starts off with a mass show outside the Alban Arena at 10.15am. Other performances will take place at venues including the Clock Tower ( 11.15am and 2.45pm), Christopher Place Shopping Centre (2.45pm), George Street (3.40pm), the west door of the Cathedral (11.15am and 12.10pm), Ye Olde Fighting Cocks (12.10pm), George Street (3.40pm) and the White Hart Tap (4.45pm).

St Albans Morris are a mixed side of dancers who have been performing the Cotswold tradition of Morris around Hertfordshire and beyond since 1930.
