A family-friendly, community-based festival returned for its fifth year to the atmospheric surroundings of St Saviour’s Church.
The Beer and Fizz Festival featured live music from the likes of Kick Pistol, Tom Wackett, Henry Nurse, Catherine Ashby, The Big Choir and Billy Patrick, complete with street food and a selection of different beers, ciders and sparkling wines.
The event is supported by Ye Olde Fighting Cocks and Cellar Door Wines, and as well as raising money for essential church funds, a proportion of the festival’s profits will be shared with young people’s mental health charity Youth Talk.
Vicar of St Saviour’s, Father Richard Watson, said: “We’ve had an amazing weekend, and despite the changeable weather had well over a thousand folk through the doors! It’s such a fantastic way of bringing people together from across the whole community. Sunday started with a brilliant celebration with the Powerhouse Gospel Choir and then the church was buzzing with families and children all day!”
