The St Albans Postboxes fundraising campaign is back for 2025, and the call has gone out for official sponsors of this much-loved community event.
Now in its eighth year, St Albans Postboxes has raised over £165,000 for local charities, thanks to the creativity of volunteer makers, the support of generous businesses, and the enthusiasm and generosity of the community.
This year’s campaign will benefit Comfort Cases UK and the Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline, two charities supporting children in care and victims of domestic abuse.
How you can get involved:
- Book your topper – Visit this link to select your preferred postbox location from an A–Z list. If you don’t mind which location, choose “Any location, I don’t mind” and the team will assign one for you. Locations are held for 24 hours, so early booking is recommended.
- Make your donation – 100% of your contribution goes directly to the campaign via this link. Receipts are issued automatically by Give As You Live.
- Add your personal touch – Sponsors can submit a logo and short message for their topper tag, printed on waterproof paper. Messages can include festive greetings, special offers, or simply a note of goodwill to the community.
“We are so grateful to our supporters,” says Clare Suttie, co-founder of St Albans Postboxes. “The generosity of local businesses makes all the difference, and we’re excited to see this year’s toppers spread joy across St Albans while raising vital funds for Comfort Cases UK and Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline.”
“We’ve had a few special requests for toppers this year. And we’ve added another sight locations to take us to 100 toppers,” added co-founder Candy Stuart.
And Lucy Dronfield confirmed: “We’ve been out measuring additional postboxes, and trawling the streets to spot any new solar powered postboxes to remove from our database. As ever, we’re going to have some incredible new toppers, and a few ones with very special stories behind them. The countdown to launch begins now!”
Sponsors, makers, and members of the community are invited to join in the fun. A Viewing Day and official launch will be announced in early November.
