Potato Shindig is back at Willows Activity Farm

The Potato Shindig is back at Willows Activity Farm.

Families will be able to unearth some spud-tacular fun at Willows Activity Farm this September as the leisure attraction gears up for its Potato Shindig.

The farm park’s annual celebration of the humble potato takes centre stage every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from September 5-28.

Visitors will be provided with spades and buckets at the farm near St Albans to help everyone get digging with every paying child taking a free bucket of freshly-harvested potatoes home with them.

As well as harvesting potatoes, visitors can look forward to potato stamping in the Arts & Crafts marquee while the farm’s own potato mascot, Spuddy, will be back on stage to entertain visitors with a mash-up of singing and dancing.

Andrew Wolfe, director at Willows Activity Farm, said: “Harvest time is always a key event in the farming calendar. Our visiting families enjoy working together to dig up the potatoes and children are always amazed that you can grow potatoes from a potato.”

Tickets include all activities, shows and adventure play and can be purchased in advance online with savings on family tickets.
