Oaklands College is getting in the mood for autumn with its Oaktober Fest 2024, which is taking place this weekend on SaturdayOctober 12.
Highlights of the autumn festival include the opportunity to visit the college’s on-site zoo and farm where visitors will encounter a wide range of animals and reptiles including meerkats, ring-tailed lemurs, pythons and bearded dragons along with Highland cows, alpacas, pigs and donkeys.
There will also be live shows throughout the day, on the hour every hour featuring the sensational Captain Fantastic, tractor rides, pumpkin decorating and face painting. There will also be plenty of opportunities to stroll through the orchards and enjoy the autumnal colours.
There will also be the opportunity to enjoy some retail therapy with lots of stalls to browse offering handmade crafts. And a festival wouldn’t be a festival without a wide array of street food to tuck into.
