Indie club night Common People have picked their charity partner for their next event on Saturday October 12 at The Pioneer Club.
The night, which started life as a fundraiser, has always donated 10 per cent of proceeds to a local charity and the next event is no exception with the team choosing St Albans Action for Homeless as the latest recipient.
Organiser Jon Prayer said: “St Albans Action For Homeless have been on our radar for a while. They provide home cooked food for the street homeless in St Albans on a Friday and Saturday night, as well as offering support to those that have recently been housed. Their work is very focused and we’re happy to help them continue their work’
Sharon Linney from St Albans Action For Homeless added: “Thanks to Common People for choosing to donate to us, the money raised will go to help us continue our important homeless outreach work in St Albans.”
The night will have three DJs playing indie anthems and forgotten classics from across the ‘90s and ’00s from the likes of Nirvana, Pulp, Cribs, Blur, The Libertines, Klaxons and more!
