The pitter patter of tiny hooves will be greeting visitors to Willows Activity Farm this February half term with the return of their annual lambing event.
The tiny bundles of joy will arrive during February Frolics, which runs from Saturday February 15 to Sunday February 23.
The nine-day celebration of fleecy fun features live lambing and lamb bottle feeding demonstrations led by resident shepherd, Tuck.
Willows chief executive Lyssa Elster said: “February half term sees the start of a very busy lambing season for us here at Willows. We are expecting lambs to be born everyday of the school holidays and some visitors might even be lucky enough to witness newborn lambs take their first steps into the world.
“With more than 40 pregnant ewes expected to give birth to twins and triplets over the half term holiday, there might not be one born every minute, but there will certainly be plenty of new arrivals for our guests to meet.”
The Mad Science team will also be returning to Willows this February with a ewe-nique show of woolly and wonderful experiments plus hands-on science workshops for younger visitors every day of the half term holiday.
Lyssa added: “There’s so much science in livestock management that it seemed fitting to include some science-based activities in our line up of events for the half term. There will be three science shows everyday and three interactive workshops with a small takeaway for every child who takes part.”
