This year’s Pub in the Park St Albans is a real family affair – with plenty to entertain the youngsters as well as the grown-ups.
The Verulamium Park food and drink festival will give visitors the chance to see Cinderella’s carriage, in all its shimmering glory, ahead of this Christmas’ Alban Arena pantomime.
The panto events team will also bring along fairy lights and colouring-in sheets, and a unique chance to enter a prize draw at the festival and win a hamper-full of goodies, including an annual family pass to Westminster Lodge, a family panto ticket, Cinderella accessories, a pumpkin Jelly Cat, and much more!
The Arena’s Tanya Russell said: “One of the biggest stars of our panto this year is Cinderella’s carriage, and we think it would be wonderful if children came along to Pub in the Park dressed up as Cinderella, or Prince Charming, or even an Ugly Sister and took a a selfie of themselves next to it!”
Cinderella’s carriage is just one part of the line-up of attractions and activities for children and families at this year’s Pub in the Park.
As well as the Michelin-starred food and top music acts, Pub in the Park is offering a specially curated programme of kids-focused fun during the Saturday afternoon and Sunday sessions, including:
· SuperPirates – bringing their infectious fun and games, from dodgeball to inflatables to role-play games;
· Face painting, hair braiding and glitter makeovers;
· Kids’ dishes from PitP restaurants;
· Sweet treats like ice cream, smoothies & juices, delicious baked goods from local exhibitors and even pick ‘n’ mix
· Plus comedian Russell Kane will be at the festival all day Sunday with his new children’s book, ‘Pet Selector’ where little ones can enjoy a meet and greet and get their copy signed.
