Globally acclaimed tenor Alfie Boe is joining the line-up for this year’s St Albans Pub in the Park.
The food and music festival, which is curated by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, returns to Verulamium Park from September 5-7.
Alfie will be part of the Lazy Sunday bill which already features Squeeze, Amy Winehouse Band and Bryony Dunn & The Forest.
He is known for playing Jean Valjean in Les Misérables in the West End and on the UK tour, and for his popular partnership with Michael Ball. He performs worldwide and blends opera, musical theatre, and classical crossover.
A talented recording artist, he has also starred on Broadway, captivating audiences with his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence which he will bring along to Pub in the Park.
As well as a stellar musical line-up, Pub in the Park is also renowned for its world class food and beverage offering. Pubs, restaurants, and chefs from across the UK, including St Albans itself, will be cooking up a range of small plates inspired by their personal career journeys and restaurants.
TV’s dynamic duo John Torode and Lisa Faulkner have been recently announced as being added to the bill of this year’s St Albans Pub in the Park. They join fellow culinary champions Simon Rimmer, Snackhacker George Egg, Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt, and wine expert Helen McGinn.
Meanwhile, Chiswell Green sensation Gracey’s Pizza will be serving giant slices of their cult sourdough pizzas, handcrafted and loaded with fresh ingredients, alongside fellow newcomers The Butcher’s Tap & Grill, Temper, Gracey’s Pizza, RAPS by Tinie Tempah and The Incredible Spicemen.
St Albans’ own Dylans at the Kings’ Arms will be returning for another year, alongside Ginger Wings, The Abbey Inn by Tommy Banks, Riwaz by Atul Kochhar and Hangfire BBQ.
