Speaker applications are now open for this year’s TEDx St Albans, which this year will focus on the theme of ‘curiosity.’
Curiosity is the desire to understand, explore and research new ideas and opinions which could be different from your own. Curiosity is also a thought process which involves going out of your comfort zone to accept different ways of thinking.
Speakers should register at https://tedxstalbans.co.uk/apply-to-speak/ by Saturday March 17 to be considered.
The organisers of this year’s event are Amy Burnett, Cheryl Luzet, Patricia Seabright and Wendy Powell.
Patricia, from Archimedes Consulting, said: “I’m so excited to be starting the work for this year’s TEDx ST Albans. Last year we had such a range of great speakers, who were really committed, put heart and soul into their preparation which led to a brilliant, idea filled, community day. I am delighted to be at that wonderful stage of anticipation to see what this year’s applications will bring!”
Co-organiser Amy, of Visible Impact said: “After such a successful inaugural event last year, we are planning for our 2024 event to be even better. The St Albans community have really got behind us and we are very excited for TEDx St Albans to return and give local people the opportunity once again to get involved and help to spread ideas and innovation through the power of speaking.”
The TED programme is about helping communities, organisations and individuals hold TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) style events. Their aim is ‘ideas worth spreading’, and it is designed to target local communities around the globe.
The date and venue for TEDx St Albans 2024 will be confirmed shortly. Ticket sales open later this year.
