Pictures and video: St Albans Pancake Race 2024

Torrential rain and bitterly cold temperatures failed to put a dampener on the flipping action at this year’s St Albans Pancake Race.

Teams from a host of different businesses and organisations took part in the charity fundraiser, including Lumin Wealth, Wagada Digital, ADS, St Albans Cathedral, Mercer and Hole, STANTA, St Albans District Chamber of Commerce, SA Law and Youth Talk,

Now in its eighth year, the St Albans Pancake Festival is organised by local children’s charity, Home-Start Hertfordshire, in collaboration with Hertfordshire’s Business Buzz.

Last year, the festival raised a staggering £4,400. These funds contributed to supporting local families facing vulnerabilities and in need of assistance, helping them navigate and overcome their challenges.

The winners of this year’s walking race were the team from Wagada Digital, with STANTA coming in as runners-up.

Taking the crown for the running race was WMT with Mercer and Hole runners-up.
