A teenager has been arrested in connection with the recent knife attack near Oaklands College in St Albans.
A fracas involving a group of young people was reported to have kicked off at around 3.40pm on Monday outside Oaklands Stores on Hatfield Road.
Local police officers attended the scene, joined by armed response colleagues, with support from the police helicopter and the ambulance service.
A 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male were taken to hospital by paramedics with serious suspected stab wounds, but these were not deemed to be life threatening.
Today, a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and assault. He is currently in police custody.
Det Sgt Paul Wadsworth from St Albans Local Crime Unit said: “The investigation is still continuing and we would urge anyone with any information, who has not already spoken to us, to get in touch.”
