Pioneer Club holding open day to show off transformation

The Pioneer Club has been transformed in recent weeks.

One of St Albans’ flagship venues is relaunching with an exciting new look.

The Pioneer Club in Heathlands Drive opens its doors this Saturday (September 23) for a special open day.

All fixed up and painted over the past few weeks by a keen team of volunteer skaters, musicians and parents, they’d love to welcome you along to see and hear their plans for the future. The refurb and new partners are to bring new impetus to Pioneer CIC, providing a platform for youth education and academies, centred around the creative arts.

Doors open at 11:30am, and the skatepark will be open for viewing until 2pm. The new café bar, The Suet Yard, will be open until 6pm. Staff and volunteers will be on site and can tell you about everything that’s happening.

St Albans’ very own street art sensation Ant Steel has been leading the team on new street art and murals, and will be working live on a very special piece this Saturday.

Come and have a peek! Everyone welcome.
